The latest cosmetic tattooing techniques in eyebrows

Permanent Make Up

There are two types of equipment used to create permanent make up brow looks: a manual method commonly known as microblading which creates realistic-looking, fine hairs and the machine method which creates both hair strokes (nano brows) and the effects of powder make up (powder brows).

Microblading

Microblading, also known as eyebrow embroidery, 3D brows, or feather stroke brows, is a form of cosmetic tattooing or 'permanent' makeup performed manually giving the artist more control over how fine and natural the strokes or 'hairs' will look.   The technique is performed using a hand held tool comprising of a tiny blade composed of very fine needles which deposit pigment into the surface layer of the skin in order to create natural-looking hair-like strokes. The procedure is done manually using sterile and disposable tools and specially formulated pigments are used to match the natural eyebrow colour.  Hyper-realistic hair strokes are drawn on individually and artistically following the natural hair growth direction using a superfine PhiBrows single-use sterile blade hand-tool. Any discomfort felt is interpreted differently from person to person but is temporary and intermittent.    The full treatment is a two-part process. A retouch is essential 4-8 weeks following your first treatment.

What it includes: Initial session and a second complimentary session 4-6 weeks later.

Powder Brows

Powder Brows (more commonly known as a brow tattoo) is a semi-permanent make-up procedure for eyebrow enhancement in which permanent make up pigments are inserted into the top layers of the skin with a digital tattoo machine designed using the dotting technique for a pixelated effect. As a result, a powdery eyebrow effect is achieved and misty powdered brows are created, seeing results as soft and sheer or more dramatic depending on the individual's request.

Cost: £400

What it includes: Initial session and a second complimentary session 4-6 weeks later.

Combination Brows

A popular choice amongst many clients, combination brows is a combination of partial microblading hair strokes and full powder shading. This is a great option for those who like a more defined look but keeping a more natural feel at the head of the brows, or where the brow naturally lacks hair and requires some added dimension.  Hairstrokes are typically applied at the front of the brows with powder shading through the body and tail.

Cost: £425

What it includes: Initial session and a second complimentary session 4-6 weeks later.
